New Washers & Dryers at Village 76
The laundry room at Village 76 is receiving an upgrade! Front loading washing machines and new dryers will be installed September 26th - 28th. The entire laundry room will be painted and the floors will be waxed before the new appliances are installed. Please plan accordingly, as the laundry room will be closed during this installation.

Home Repair Funds Available
Kirksville Housing Authority has been awarded funds to once again administer the Home Repair Opportunity Program (HeRO) for 2012. This federal funding is made available through the Missouri Housing Development Commission and is designed to assist owner-occupied, low to moderate income families bring their homes up to code.Eligible repairs may include: upgrading weatherization; repairing of roofing, foundation, plumbing, electrical; improving accessibility; lead abatement; and environmental risk reduction.To be eligible for this program, the total annual household income must be less than 80% of the area's median income (see table below), and the home owner must have owned and lived at the home for three years. Community Garden Sprouts
The community garden of Village '76, located on the southwest portion of campus, is a 27' x 40' plot of land that has been tilled and naturally fertilized for a slightly late start this year. With a resident committee meeting on May 20th, 2011 at 3pm at the community center, planning and management of the garden will be discussed.Residents of Village '76 are excited about this opportunity and the staff at the Housing Authority are facilitating what already looks to be a successful community involvement project.For more information, please call 660-665-8539.
